We're getting married!

Marissa & Travis met during freshman year at Pinellas Park High School in 2010 and were best friends at the beginning of their love story. Marissa cried because she did not want to attend this school, and Travis had applied late to the criminal justice program they were both enrolled in and barely got accepted in time. They always say it's crazy, lucky, fate that they both ended up in the same high school magnet program! Travis tells the story of freshman orientation night, where he remembers seeing Marissa everywhere he turned in the crowds of students and families. They ended up having second period together, where they met and became best friends. On April 5th, 2010, Travis nervously asked Marissa to be his girlfriend, and she said yes! They have grown up together over the past 13 years, and their love has only deepened for one another every day. On June 3rd, 2023, Travis took Marissa and their pups for a hike at Philippe Park, where they have gone many times. They shared sweet memories from over the years as they walked through the park. They saw a trail they realized they had never been down and took its winding paths to an opening where a giant, beautiful oak tree covered in ferns stood at the edge of a field. They took in the tree's beauty and talked about their relationship over the past 13 years. Marissa was enjoying the sight of the beautiful tree when she turned back to Travis, and he was down on one knee with a ring! Bursting with love and happiness, Marissa said YES! We are so excited to celebrate our marriage with family and friends on this day that means so much!
