El Matador State Beach
Why would you come to Malibu without going the beach? Go early, because it gets busy, especially on weekends! This place is known for its beautiful rock formations. There is some hiking involved, so stroller and flip-flops NOT advised. Free, but pay for parking.
Point Dume
Take a (very) short hike from the parking lot to the boardwalk, with white sands and beautiful views. Free, but pay for parking.
The Getty Villa
Beautiful grounds, filled with Greek and Roman artifacts. We advise getting tickets in advance. They're free, just pay for parking!
Griffith Observatory
This is a bit farther away, but we had to mention it. We love Griffith -- this is Marissa's favorite place in LA. It has the best views of downtown! And the observatory is a lot of fun.
Santa Monica Pier
Classic tourist spot. We recommend going once, if you've never been!
Solstice Canyon Hike
We love hiking, so we had to add a hike to our list! This is a beautiful 3 mile loop. It's super popular, so try going early!
Malibu Wine Hikes
There are a lot of great wineries in Malibu, with amazing views. Doing a hike through Saddlerock Ranch and tasting wine sounds like a perfect afternoon! Try a 2.5 mile guided hiking tour for $49 per person. We recommend booking ahead of time!
