Both the ceremony and reception are at the same venue: The Birchwood Room at Calamigos Ranch. The ceremony area is right next to the reception area.
Not really. The venue is in the mountains above Malibu, in a forest setting. It's about a 13 minute drive to the beach.
Yes! There are ramps for every area.
The venue is mostly outdoors. The ceremony is outside, under some trees. The ground is artificial turf, not grass. The reception is on a deck underneath a giant tree, with an indoor area for music and dancing. The whole venue is very shaded.
In August, the highs are usually around high 70s to mid 80s. It will be shaded and cooling off by 6pm. You might want a jacket by night time!
We have room blocks at both Hyatt Regency Westlake and Hampton Inn & Suites Agoura Hills (see the Travel section!) We suggest the Hyatt, as it's a nicer 4-star hotel and the rate is only about $25 more per night. (We also need to hit a minimum number of rooms here!) You're also welcome to stay at any other hotel nearby.
We will have a shuttle to take guests from our room block hotels (Hyatt and Hampton Inn, see Travel section) to and from the wedding venue. We can also request the shuttle to stop at other nearby hotels -- please let us know if you'd like that! There's also valet parking available at the venue if you'd like to drive yourself. It might be possible to take Uber or Lyft, but it could be hard to get one at night at the venue.
We're not requiring guests to wear masks, but feel free to if you'd like! We would appreciate if all guests were vaccinated.
Yes! We will be sending out an email to request your meal choice sometime before the wedding date. Make sure to respond to that email, or else we will choose for you.
