Spring in New York is often sunny and warm in the day but a bit cool and breezy at night. I'd recommend bringing layers for night time. All events after sundown will be indoors. Heat lamps and many many fire pits will be active around the property as well. As you are all the people we care most about in the world the safety of our guests is our primary concern. In line with New York's policies regarding indoor dining we require that all guests are fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to the event, and have received any boosters deemed necessary by the CDC. Please email a photo of your vaccine card to marissaandrandy2022@gmail.com prior to your arrival at Cedar Lakes Estate. If any member of your party is unable to receive the vaccine prior to the event due to age or medical conditions please specify on your RSVP form and present a negative covid test taken within the 48 hours prior to the event (PCR preferred) at check in. All event staff will be held to these same policies. These policies may be updated in the months leading to the event to reflect CDC guidance so be sure to check prior to arrival. That gorgeous outfit you own but never have an excuse to wear? Now’s your chance! Dress to impress, pull out all the stops, be the best you you can be! No ensemble will be too fancy for this event so don’t hold back. For the men tuxedos are suggested but suits requested at a minimum. For the ladies embody elevated elegance, I’m sure none of you will have trouble understanding the assignment. As as the ceremony will be outdoors please where high heels with caution. *No Hawaiian shirts please ;)
For children over two years old if they are named on your invitation they have been formally invited, if not please schedule childcare in advance. If you have an unused plus 1 you're welcome to bring your child as your date. If your child is under two years old and unable to be away from you for an extended amount of time you are welcome to bring them however please be respectful of noise levels during the ceremony and speeches. Please note that no nannies or day care will be provided but the venue is generally family friendly. The pool and lakes do not have lifeguards so please be extra attentive of children playing in and around any bodies of water. If you are attending with a child under two we recommend utilizing the offsite accommodations given that the onsite guest accommodations are shared spaces with multiple guests. (This does not apply to family members as those accommodations will be arranged separately).
No, the venue has a strict no pets policy for animals of any size / type. If you need to travel with a service animal please confirm it with us in advance as fees may be incurred from the venue otherwise.
The Canteen has snacks, beer and wine for purchase during daylight hours. Please note that the venue does not allow any outside food or beverages to be consumed in public so if you brought your own tamales please eat them in your room ;)
We have the entire property to ourselves starting Friday evening. If you are joining us for the Welcome dinner on Friday feel free to arrive anytime after 4pm. If you will be arriving on Saturday you can check in to your room any time after 11am. Check-out is 12pm on Sunday.
We (and our photographer!) would appreciate if guests refrained from taking photographs (or using phones in any way) during the ceremony. Otherwise, have at it!
We have currently set aside time for speeches from parents and select members of the wedding party. If you are planning on making a speech please confirm with us in advance and be conscious of time- I'm sure everyone will be eager to start dancing!

Please let us know on the RSVP form if you or a member of your party may need any additional support to attend any of the events during the weekend. The venue is rather large but has paved roads leading to the celebration spaces. If you would like to rent a personal golf cart for the weekend let us know and we can arrange this with the venue. Most of the buildings have ground level entry points however a few have 1 or 2 steps up to the main entrance, if steps are an issue please let us know and we'll make special arrangements. The ceremony will be at the top of the hill however shuttles will be provided to assist guests up to the top who may find walking up the hill challenging. We want everyone to feel included in all events regardless of physical ability so we're happy to make any changes or arrangements necessary.
Given COVID limitations on venue capacity we could not provide all guests with a plus 1. If you really really want to bring someone we can let you know once the RSVP's have been accounted for, however we cannot promise anything. We love you all and wish everyone could join us!
When we have all the RSVP's in for on site accommodations we'll email you with your room assignment, you can expect this before the end of March. Once received you can then contact Cedar Lakes Estate to confirm and pay for your room. Payments are due by April 16th to confirm your accommodation. Detailed instructions will be sent out with the room assignment.
Your presence at our wedding is already a wonderful gift! If you would like to send us something extra however feel free to check out our registry for inspiration. If you are selecting an item from the registry but not going through Zola for the transaction please let us know what you purchased so we can remove it from the available items. Gifts can be shipped to: 393 Lewis Ave, Apt. 3 Brooklyn, NY 11233 Zola handles all the shipping and tracking but if you are sending a separate package please send us the tracking number as deliveries can be a bit unpredictable given that we live in an apartment building with no mail room. If you would prefer to bring a gift to the wedding we request that only small gifts (let's say smaller than a loaf of bread) be delivered in person. Our car is very small!
