FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by October 18 or earlier.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive to be seated for a 3:30 start time. Allow 5-10 minutes for parking and walking to the home.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire, but really whatever you're most comfortable in will be just fine. Keep in mind that cocktail hour will be on grass, and the ceremony and reception will be on tile.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, please park on the street in the neighborhood around the home. Be mindful to avoid blocking driveways.

Question

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

Houston is built around cars, though if you stay in Downtown or Midtown, the light rail is a convenient option (although it won't get you to our wedding location, unfortunately). The bus system is OK if it's not too hot out. Uber and Lyft are abundant and inexpensive in most areas most of the time. Rental cars may be convenient but not required. The bike-ability of Houston is still mixed and not recommended if you're unfamiliar with the area. Note - there is no convenient public transit from either airport. Ubers from each are in the $30-50 range. Some hotels offer shuttles.

Question

Which airport should I fly into?

Answer

Either IAH (Bush) or HOU (Hobby) are about 30 minutes from Downtown. United has a hub at IAH and Southwest has a hub at Hobby. IAH is much larger, but tends to have fairly reasonable security lines.

Question

Where are people staying?

Answer

Most of our guests are local. At least one of our out of town guests is staying at Club Quarters downtown. Please let us know where you plan to stay and we can keep this section up to date.
