Bellagio
Bellagio is known as the "Pearl of Lake Como." It is the most visited/romantic place in Lake Como with beautiful walks and views. We stayed here on our first trip to Lake Como. We highly recommend walking around the small store fronts and eating at local restaurants.
Lake Como Boat Rental (40 HP Boat) - No License Needed
There are various vendors to choose from, each city has vendors to choose from (Bellagio Rent a Boat, Varenna Rent a Boat, for example). You don't need a boat license and can drive around the lake for however long you'd like.
Varenna
Varenna is a lakeside village and very picturesque. You can spend a few hours just walking around the peaceful streets and piazzas with their colorful buildings.

Milan
Milan is the closest major city and shopping hub. You can easily take a day trip by using the train from Como San Giovanni to Milan Centrale.
