We are planning to welcome all of our out-of-town guests with a traditional Oaxacan dining experience at chef Enrique Olvera's Oaxacan venue Criollo. The Welcome Dinner is being held at Criollo and is located just outside of the main downtown area. In order to ensure everyone arrives without issue, there will be shuttles departing from the following locations at 6:15PM: Grand Fiesta Americana Hotel Los Amantes If you aren't staying at the above hotels, they are both short walks from any other accommodation offerings. If you miss the 6:15 shuttle, the restaurant is approximately a 7 min taxi ride from the town center Dress Recommendations: Smart Casual. Keep in mind that the restaurant is outdoors and while the temperature may exceed 80 degrees during the day, it can become chilly in the evening. There will be a return shuttle after the Welcome Dinner at around 9:30pm which will drop off at Los Amantes and Grand Fiesta Americana.

Ceremony starts at 4:30pm, please get to Templo Santo Domingo by 4:15pm. There will be a traditional Oaxacan Calenda from the church to the ceremony location and the streets are cobblestone - we recommend guests bring comfortable shoes.

This event is black-tie optional.
Dress Code: Black Tie/Cocktail Recommended Following the church ceremony we will have a traditional Oaxacan calenda (parade) from the Church to the wedding venue La Fabrica. It is a short walk (10-15 min) but keep in mind that the streets of Oaxaca are mostly cobblestone and we recommend wearing comfortable shoes. At the end of the night, there will be sprinter vans picking up guests at La Fabrica and dropping them off at the various hotels in town. Shuttle Times: 11:30pm, 12:30am and 1am. Alternatively, you can take a taxi or walk to your hotel.

On Saturday, we’ve organized a visit to Archaeological Site of Mitla and to visit a Mezcal Distillery Mal de Amor palenque. The buses will be picking guests up at 11:30am at Los Amantes and at Grand Fiesta Americana for the ~1hr drive to our first stop. The weather will be warm and sunny, so come dressed accordingly. We will be heading back into town at around xxpm, so feel free to make dinner reservations for the evening. The tour is optional and we need to confirm a final number by Monday January 28, 2023, We know you may have already RSVP’d, but please do so again here. Also, there is a small cost to attend which will cover the cost of the Mezcal/alcohol tasting at the distillery of $20.
