Grimm & Gorly Flowers & Gifts
The first Grimm and Gorly Flower Shop was located on Washington Street in downtown St. Louis over 100 years ago. It was so popular it expanded to East St. Louis and then eventually to Belleville, IL years later. Although it has expanded its territory and developed many a new trades within its walls, the Grimm & Gorly name has only grown better to serve a wider population and capture the original essence that is Grimm & Gorly Flowers & Gifts owned by Jeff and Zach Bair. Lincoln Theatre
Opened on October 6th, 1921 with four acts of vaudeville and a silent movie. The original admission for adults was 27 cents for the balcony and 36 cents for the main floor. Delight yourself with a movie in a theatre over 100 years old.
The Gateway Arch
Founded by the National Park Service in 1935 to commemorate Thomas Jefferson's vision of a transcontinental U.S., the Gateway Arch National Park. It stretches from the Old Courthouse to the steps overlooking the Mississippi River. The Gateway Arch rises high in between as a bold monument to the pioneering spirit welcoming free people through the gateway to the Midwest. It's a St. Louis must!
The St. Louis Wheel
The St. Louis Wheel is a 200-foot high observation wheel with 42 fully enclosed, climate controlled gondolas that seat up to six adults each. Wheel passengers will take three to four rotations high over the St. Louis skyline during the 15 minute ride on this new iconic attraction.
Missouri Botanical Garden
Founded in 1859, the Missouri Botanical Garden is one of the nation's oldest botanical garden in continuous operation and a National Historic Landmark. It is a center for education, science and conservation. For over 161 years, the Garden has been an oasis in the city, a place of beauty and family fun.
Anheuser-Busch St. Louis Brewery
The tour of the St. Louis Brewery, which was founded in 1852, is located next to the Anheuser-Busch World Headquarters. Be entertained by a tour of the world's largest brewer, the Budweiser Clydesdale paddock and stable, large cellar, Brew House, Lyon's Schoolhouse and Bevo packaging plant-- a sense of history and hops.
Saint Louis Art Museum
Founded in 1879, the St. Louis Art Museum has comprehensive collections that bear witness to the inspirational and educational goals which its founder aspired and the moral and democratic imperatives he embraced. His original works of art span five millennia and over six continents. Admire and appreciate these works of art.
Saint Louis Science Center
The St. Louis Science Center traces its roots to the Academy of Science of St. Louis, founded in 1856 as the first scientific organization west of the Mississippi River. Truly a treasure to cherish.
