Things To Do

One reason we decided to get married at Tin Roof Barn is because of the surrounding natural beauty! If you are able, there are tons of activities to experience in and around the Columbia River Gorge. Here are a few ideas we have come up with.

Mount Hood

OR 97041

Mount Hood is an absolutely gorgeous area with tons of hiking, camping, snowboarding (almost year round!!!), and sightseeing. Manon and Zach spend a lot of time out here, mostly snowboarding, and have begun exploring the area for all the camping to be offered. If you decide to explore Mt Hood, please be cautious when tramping around the woods and DO NOT approach any SAMSQUANCHES if you see them. These gentle creatures are extremely delicate and shy, and mistreatment is punishable by death. However, if you do see one, TAKE A PICTURE!!!

Multnomah Falls

50000 Historic Columbia River Highway, Bridal Veil, OR 97010
, (503) 695-2372

Multnomah Falls is a beautiful waterfall that can be seen from the highway. However, its beauty is better appreciated when taking the short hike to its base. If you want to try hiking, be aware that it is almost always very busy, so parking during off hours is your best bet.

Hike around the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area

OR 97031
(541) 308-1700

With all the hiking options in the area, we simply recommend that you use popular websites such as alltrails.com to find a hike that meets your desires and capabilities.

Breweries

Hood River, OR

Grab a brew and enjoy the weather! Breweries in the Pacific Northwest provide some of the highest quality beer one can find. Zach urges midwesterners to abandon their preconceptions of "good" beer and try out at least one brewery in the Columbia Gorge or Portland.

Wineries

Hood River, OR 97058

Vista House

40700 Historic Columbia River Highway, Corbett, OR 97019
, (503) 695-2240

Enjoy a view of the Columbia River from this 100-year-old observatory and museum.

Mount Hood Railroad

110 Railroad Street, Hood River, OR 97031
, (541) 399-8939

Explore Downtown Hood River

504 Oak Street, Hood River, OR 97031
, (541) 386-6260

Explore downtown Hood River and while you're at it, try Milk's Ice Cream!

Hood River Mountain Bike Adventures

1813 Cascade Avenue, Hood River, OR 97031
, (503) 705-3592

Gorge Paddling Center - Paddleboard & Kayak Rentals Hood River

101 North 1st Street, Hood River, OR 97031
, (541) 806-4190

Hood River Lavender Farms

3823 Fletcher Drive, Hood River, OR 97031
, (541) 490-5657

Test your preconceptions of Portland....by visiting Portland!

Portland has so much to offer, if you can spend a day there you are unlikely to regret it. Find a food truck park and try any number of options; go to one of the city's gorgeous parks for a short hike; or hit up a brewery and finish with a trip to one of the many dispensaries ;)

For all the days along the way
