We're getting married!

In classic fashion we met at work. He was the bartender, I was the new hostess in a busy spot in Chinatown. In all honesty, it took a couple of months and one very slow shift for us to really notice each other and have a real conversation. One of our managers thought we'd make a cute couple and encouraged John to get my phone number. The rest, as they say, is history!

After more than eight years together, we decided we were both ready for the next step. Since we were so open about our eventual marriage, I just assumed I would know when the proposal was coming. Completely wrong. John planned multiple proposals, some more grand than others, but the timing and details never worked out the way that he wanted. He carried the ring around for weeks. Finally, on Thanksgiving morning as we were about to head into my Mom's house he got down on one knee and popped the question. A private moment perfect for just us two to share - and I was completely surprised. Of course, I said "yes" and in a full circle moment I thought that sometimes it's actually a really good idea to flirt with the bartender. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you! See you in Philly!
