As many of you know, we are both musical theatre nerds. So it’s only fitting that we met in 2015 performing in a Moulin Rouge themed-cabaret, where an autographed picture of Ryan was auctioned off and Mallory was on a post Gene Kelly Award loss revenge tour. All of this at a little university named after a Slippery Rock. After barely speaking a word to each other during the whole rehearsal process and having very brief interactions throughout SRU's campus, there was something in that Slippery Rock water that finally got us talking to each other. Thanks to the help of our best man, Ryan Barlow, he was able to convince Ryan to ask Mallory out on a date via text, because he is a millennial and that’s what millennials do. Ryan’s exact words were “I think I should pursue this whole Mallory thing.” Such a romantic. Our first date consisted of seeing the SRU Theatre Department production of “Gruesome Playground Injuries,” a failed trip to Dairy Queen and a healthy dinner of Sheetz Mac & Cheese bites. We can both agree that our favorite part of that date was the hours of talking and listening to Ed Sheeran’s “X” album, in Ryan’s beautiful Mercury Sable, Lightning (rip). From that moment on, the rest was history. Here we are seven years later finally getting to plan the day we’ve been looking forward to for years (our dog Dottie can hardly wait). Who would’ve thought that after being voted SRU’s cutest couple in 2016, we would end up here. If you’re looking for a good read, feel free to check out the article that (once again) the best man, Ryan Barlow, wrote. https://rb.gy/35i9vv #LogueBerger We truly can’t wait to celebrate our big day with the people we love most!
