What should I do if I can’t make it?
Answer
You will be missed! We will be hosting a reception in Portland, Oregon within the year following our official ceremony and if this is more accessible, we encourage you to come to whichever is easiest for you and your family. If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?
Answer
We recommend looking at VRBO and Air BnB, pay close attention to previous reviews! A friendly reminder, if air conditioning is important to you, check that your condo/hotel provides that! Be sure to book your hotel or condo rental for the SOUTH side of Maui. Due to 2 lane roads to and from the west side of the island, road closures happen often and there is no other way to get to the south side wedding if the road is closed due to a fire or traffic accident.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
Answer
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail. Aloha shirts are welcome! We are highly encouraging ocean blue and earth tone attire. Please no denim.

What will the weather be like this time of year?
Answer
May is one of the very best times to visit Maui. Temperatures reach very warm highs, days are long with 9 hours of sunshine and the rainy season is over - and all that with less crowds and lower hotel prices! During the day, temperatures climb now to low 80s F and nights don’t get cooler than 70°F anymore. The ocean has warmed up to a very pleasant 79°F and everything is set for a wonderful beach vacation on Maui in May.
