The Wedding Website of Makayla Wykle and Austin Gamble
Meet our Family and Friends who are walking down the aisle with us!

Makayla Wykle

Bride

Makayla is our beautiful Bride to be! She is 27 years old and currently works as a 6th Grade Math Teacher at Queen's Grant Community School and is a recent Fall 2023 graduate from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte Graduate School. She is also mother to a beautiful 4 year old boy named Brentley.

Austin Gamble

Groom

Austin is our lucky Groom to be! Austin is 30 years old and currently works as an Aircraft Mechanic for American Airlines. Austin is also a die-hard Pittsburgh Penguins fan!

Samantha Hendrix

Maid of Honor

I have the honor of introducing Samantha as both my Maid of Honor and my wedding coordinator all wrapped up in one. Sam is an incredibly talented woman, who I am proud to call one of my best friends. We met through a mutual friend around 3 years ago and our friendship has continued to grow and flourish as we have been rocks for each other through some pretty hard times and have been able to enjoy so many good times together.

CJ Pugh

Best Man

CJ and I have been best friends for as long as I can remember. As kids, we used to tell each other that we would one day be each other's best man at our weddings and here we are! Even though we live farther apart, we have still maintained our strong friendship throughout the years, which is why I have chosen him to be my best man.

Kayla Troublefield

Bridesmaid

I am proud to introduce Kayla as one of my gorgeous bridesmaids, who I met 3 years ago at Queen’s Grant. When I began working at QG, Kayla was assigned to be my mentor because I was a beginning teacher and we quickly became best friends through coaching cheer together, countless mentor meetings, late night panicky texts and phone calls, and so much more. Kayla is one of the few people I can call a true friend, knowing that she is always there for me. Whether it’s for a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen, a needed hug, someone to laugh with, someone to vent with, or walk down the aisle with, she has always been there for me and for that friendship, I will forever be grateful and I am truly blessed to have her stand next to me as I marry the man of my dreams.

Hunter Gamble

Groomsman

Hunter has been like my little brother since he was born. We have always been inseparable when we are together and even though we are cousins by blood, we are brothers by choice. Hunter has always been someone I could talk to through the good times and the bad, and I am proud to have him stand with me on my wedding day.

Christine Holden

Bridesmaid

I am proud to introduce my oldest friend Christine as one of my bridesmaids. I had the pleasure of meeting her while we were in college together at Lenoir Rhyne University. We quickly became inseparable, becoming sorority sisters and moving into the same dorm room. We did everything together, and although life has taken us in different directions since college, I am happy to say that she is one of my nearest and dearest friends and I couldn't imagine my wedding without her.

Noah Holden

Groomsman

I couldn't have asked for a better big brother than Noah. Throughout my life, he has been someone I could talk to and even though we may have fought as we were growing up, we have grown closer than I could have ever imagined. I am so grateful that he will be standing with me at my wedding.

Ta'Rah Kindle

Bridesmaid

I am happy to introduce Ta'Rah as one of my beautiful bridesmaids. Ta'Rah and I met through our job last year when she joined the 6th grade team at my school. We quickly became very close as we worked together through the past year, through our shared sense of humor and countless "meetings." I asked her to be a bridesmaid because not only has she become one of my closest friends in the past year, but she also has a sparkling personality and brightens up even some of my worst days.

Lucas Carter

Groomsman

Lucas and I became friends working together at our previous job. Towards the end of our time there, we worked every day side by side. From fixing airplanes to having NHL tournaments at work, he has easily become one of my closest friends both at and outside of work, even though he has poor taste in hockey teams. I am so grateful to have him stand with me at my wedding.

Madison Pugh

Bridesmaid

I am happy to introduce Madison as one of my bridesmaids and easily my newest friend. I chose Maddie to be one of my bridesmaids because not only have we started building a beautiful new friendship, but she is also one of Austin's closer friends. As an important part of both of our lives, I asked her to stand next to me as I begin this new chapter of my life.

Shawn Bauduin

Groomsman

Shawn and I met through our mutual friend CJ and we have been best friends for over 10 years. Shawn has always had my back through both the good and the bad times. I could not imagine how incredibly boring my life would be without him and I am proud to have him stand with me on my wedding day.

Brianna Capristo

Bridesmaid

I am proud to introduce Brianna as my final bridesmaid. Brianna and I met two years ago through teaching and because of our mutual interests, sense of humor, and countless conversations and Krispy Kreme orders. We became very close over the past 2 years. Brianna is someone who I can consider a best friend and someone I know I can always count on no matter what. I am truly proud to have her stand with me.

Aaron Hertzler

Groomsman

I met Aaron in the 2nd grade when I moved to West Virginia. Immediately he was one of my first friends and has remained one of my best friends since then. He thankfully was able to keep me sane while going through A&P school from going and watching penguins games at my grandmas to hanging out almost every weekend to get away from studying. We have been through a lot together and I couldn’t imagine my life without him. I’m so grateful he is able to stand with me at my wedding.

Collette Saul

Junior Bridesmaid

Miss Collette came into my life when I first started teaching, as she is my dear friends/coworkers daughter, but our relationship grew when I had her as a student last year. Collette is an incredibly special young lady that I have had the immense joy and honor of watching grow in the past several years and I am truly grateful for the bond we share. She has one of the worlds biggest hearts and truly leaves a mark on those she comes in contact with. She is a sassy ray of sunshine and I couldn’t be happier to have her stand with me on my special day.

Brystol Holden

Junior Bridesmaid

Miss Brystol came into my life when I met Austin. Brystol is Austin’s niece and when we met, we immediately clicked, especially since she was so close in age with the students that I teach. Brystol truly lights up every room she walks in with her spunky (sassy) personality and I am so incredibly excited to not only become her aunt, but also to have her stand with me as Austin and I say “I do!”

Brentley Funderburk

Child of Honor

Brentley is the bride's 4 year old son. He takes part in our Wedding ceremony, not with a traditional role, such as ring bearer or flower child, but with a role of his very own. Brentley will take his walk down the aisle as the last person before the bride to show the significance of blending families. Not only did Austin choose his bride, but he also chose to accept Brentley as his own child, understanding the responsibility of becoming a father to a young boy and has created a bond with him that could never be undone.
