Hotel
This is very close to the Celebration of Love and a ~20 minute walk to the Welcome Drinks. It is in a quiet part of town but with a really nice outdoor area and beautiful walks around the venue. We have booked rooms for single occupancy EUR 52 / double occupancy EUR 75. There are connected family room options too. House Or Rental
This is in the Old Town area - very close to Welcome Drinks and a ~20min walk / 5min shuttle to the Celebration of Love. There are apartment set-ups so if you would like more than a hotel room or have more than 2-3 people this would be a good option. It is also very close to Majla's family house - great great grandparents, great grandparents, grandparents all lived there and Majla and her parents arrived and spent some time there after returning from Switzerland too! We have booked rooms for single occupancy EUR 40 / double occupancy EUR 60 / double occupancy suites EUR 80. Please ask separately for the full apartment set-ups - they are currently holding the full Villa for our wedding. We recommend reaching out to Fortuna to make the reservation at +38763282126 or booking@fortuna.ba and they can help you with the various larger options too. This is the most historic and authentic of the hotel options.
Hotel
Hotel Mostar is located in the center town and right across the street from where Majla was born. And where her grandmother still lives today! It is an easy ~10min walk away from most parts of the city. It is also one block away from a historical high school, first reunited school after the war and houses the UWC Mostar as well. We have blocked rooms in there with single occupancy: EUR 50 / double occupancy: EUR 70. We recommend reaching out to Fortuna to make the reservation at +38763282126 or booking@fortuna.ba
Travel Note
We strongly encourage you to reserve transport from the airport to Mostar. Renting a car is a possibility but the roads are tiny and most cars are manual so... we would personally not chose to drive! Fortuna will be able to provide transport options and get you to Mostar from any major airports if you choose to go with that option. You can reach them at +38763282126 or booking@fortuna.ba If people are arriving on same / similar flights and are open to sharing they will also work out options for that, closer to the date.
Travel Note
Uber is not available. We will provide cab information and phone numbers in your welcome package. They do not take credit cards so you should have Bosnian KM available. If you are going anywhere in the city will be a handful of Bosnian KM (equivalent of few USD/EUR). That said, Mostar is very walkable and you should be able to also walk everywhere throughout the weekend (in addition to the transport being provided).
Travel Note
The currency in Bosnia-Herzegovina is Bosnian KM. Other currencies are not accepted and many places do not take credit cards. You can take out cash at any ATM with your foreign bank cards. Tipping is situation specific and falls somewhere between USA and Western Europe. There is not a requirement to tip like in the USA but tipping is more encouraged and common than in Western Europe. We are happy to answer any situation specific questions.
