Things To Do

Charlottesville is a very special place for us, and we are so grateful to be able to host you all. Please see some of our favorite places below if you are looking for things to do in the area!
The Rotunda

The Rotunda

1826 University Avenue, Charlottesville, VA 22904
, (434) 924-7969

We are certainly biased, but UVA is beautiful and a great place to walk around. Although we didn't know each other while at UVA, we must have passed each other countless times across the lawn and grounds. The Rotunda is now an extra special place, as it's where Spencer proposed.

Saunders-Monticello Trail

Humpback Rock Hiking Trail

Humpback Rock Hiking Trail

Humpback Gap Overlook, Afton, VA 22920

Humpback rock is a really fun hiking trail with fantastic views at the top! It is relatively quick, but it is a steep hike. If you have time, check out the Visitors Center and Mountain Farm, which is a collection of farm buildings from the 1890s relocated here.

Kayaking the Rivanna River

Kayaking the Rivanna River

If the weather is nice and you're feeling adventurous, rent kayaks from the Rivanna River Company and head down the Rivanna River for a few hours! We have enjoyed many river cruises with Maggie's family on the Rivanna!
