Question

Do you have a hotel room block?

Answer

We'd love for ALL of our guests to stay with us at the Inn at Herrington Harbour (this is where all the fun pre- and post-wedding activities will be as well!), but these rooms are available on a first come, first served basis and book quickly so we encourage you to book as soon as possible! We've blocked additional rooms at the Chesapeake Beach Hotel & Spa (Rod 'N' Reel Resort). See the Travel section of the site for additional information.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

You can leave your tuxedos/cummerbunds and evening gowns in the closet, but we would love to see our family and friends dressed up with us! We are requesting semi-formal attire, please. Dark suits (tie or no tie) and dresses of any length are welcome. The ceremony and reception will be outside so keep this in mind when choosing footwear and how you want to dress to impress!

Where is the ceremony/reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony will take place on the Polynesian Lawn. We recommend footwear that you're comfortable walking on grass in. Don't forget your sunscreen and sunglasses! The cocktail hour and reception will be a few steps away in the tented Paradise Ballroom.

What time should we be there?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m on June 10. We kindly ask guests to arrive 20-30 minutes prior (Maggie time) but at least 5 minutes before the ceremony starts (Cameron time lol) to grab a seat and start mingling :)

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Yes! Shuttle transportation to and from Herrington on the Bay from The Inn and Rod ‘N’ Reel will be provided. See the Travel tab for pickup location details.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes! There is ample free parking just steps from the venue. You can leave your car there overnight if you wish.

Can I bring a date/+1?

Answer

We are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your invitation. If you receive a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP.

Are children welcome?

Answer

We respectfully request only children in the wedding party/immediate family at the wedding. We hope you can enjoy a night off!

What’s the best way to share pictures from the wedding weekend?

Answer

We're planning an "unplugged ceremony." This just means we ask that all phones be put away and on silent during the ceremony, but feel free to take as many photos/videos as you want throughout the weekend and add them to our shared album (find the QR code scattered throughout on signage) so we can relive our day!

Is there a backup plan in case of inclement weather?

Answer

Our venue has adequate covered outdoor space in the case of inclement weather. We will be sure to have a great celebration, rain or shine!

When are RSVPs due?

Answer

We’d love to know if you can make it as soon as possible. Please RSVP by May 6 using the RSVP section here.

Are there any other wedding-related festivities?

Answer

Of course! We want to spend as much time as possible with all of our favorite people so we've planned a Welcome Bonfire on the beach on Friday night and a Farewell Bunch on Sunday! See the Schedule tab for ways to keep the celebrations going all weekend!
