Brion & I hung around the same crowd for many years, but we officially met at a friends house in college at the University of Arizona. I asked him to write my name down on a whiteboard during a game, & he acted like he didn't know my name. I thought he hated me for the longest time, but he swears he was just playing it cool! To be honest, we were both scared to talk to one another. But after some liquid courage, we struck up a conversation & the rest is history. Then my cat liked him, so I knew he was the one.
Brion & I both share a love of the outdoors, so we decided one weekend in September to drive up to Sedona, Arizona to do one of our favorite hikes- Devil's Bridge. It's actually the same hiking trail we consider to be our first real date. I had absolutely no idea he had even bought a ring, much less had it in his pocket the entire five mile hike! I asked another hiker to take a photo of us while we stood on the bridge, & as I'm walking away I hear all this cheering from the crowd of other hikers lined up to take their photos. I was so confused & didn't know why they were cheering until I turned around to see Brion down on one knee. I was SHOCKED. My knees buckled, my eyes filled with tears, & I screamed YES!
Ever since I was a little girl, I've dreamed of getting married in Mexico. From the amazing people to the gorgeous beaches & views- it's truly one of my favorite destinations on earth. Not to mention the food, who doesn't love Mexican food? I'm so incredibly excited that my dream wedding is finally happening & I can't wait to share this special day with the people that mean the most to me, in the place that means the most to me.
