Madeline and Eric met volunteering for youth group at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Parish. They developed a friendship eventually leading to a crush but were both too shy to make a move. Thank goodness for Eric’s sister Beth and her matchmaking skills. After one evening out together, she sent Madeline a text asking if she would be interested in dating Eric and upon her "Yes" response Eric finally gained the courage to ask Madeline out. The rest is history!

On their 9-month anniversary, Eric and Madeline went on a bike ride to Lake St. Clair sea wall in Grosse Pointe, the spot of their first date. They had planned a picnic but before any food was enjoyed, Eric was down on one knee proposing. Madeline was so surprised and said “Yes” before Eric could get anything out. Eric had planned the most perfect night of celebrating with family and friends. He had the ring custom designed with the help of our dear friends the Kirkconnell's. We're so excited to begin celebrating this next chapter in our lives with you! See you in Grosse Pointe!
