What's the shuttle situation?

Answer

Hotel to Venue: There will be one charter bus making two trips from the hotel to the ceremony. The first will be at 4 PM and the second at 4:45 PM. We ask that not everyone wait for the second trip as only 56 people will fit on the bus. If you miss either of the two trips, there are plenty of Ubers around the area. We suggest downloading the app ahead of time to become familiar with it if you aren't already. Venue to Hotel: A second, smaller shuttle will be joining the first shuttle around 9 PM to make trips, as needed, back to the hotel. The last trip will be at approximately 11:10 PM with only 32 spots available. Please plan accordingly. We are providing this service so everyone can enjoy our day responsibly. Let's party! There is plenty of parking on-site and is free if you choose to drive.

What should I wear?

Answer

Formal Attire: He should wear: A formal dark suit and tie. She should wear: A long dress, a dressy suit, or a formal cocktail-length dress.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Absolutely! We encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only requests are to please be respectful during the ceremony and tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #MacKingHannahStoddard so we can keep track of all of your pictures! We also recommend using the hashtag #VirginiaIsForLovers

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

August can be very hot and humid sometimes reaching near 100 degrees. Please check the weather before packing!

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are taking place at the same location. Old Hickory Golf Club 11921 Chanceford Drive Woodbridge, VA 22192

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be, weather permitting, outdoors looking at the 18th green. If the weather does not quite cooperate, it will be held up on the terrace still outdoors, but covered. The reception will be held indoors.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Guests will be escorted back indoors to the bar area where cocktails and hors d'oeuvres can be enjoyed before the reception.

Does your wedding have a theme?

Answer

Our colors are technically peach and sage weighing heavier on the sage! We are big golfers so don't be surprised if you see a lot of golf-themed decorations.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Are kids welcome?

Of course! But please be advised that at some point during the reception music may be explicit.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Please have your RSVP by August 1st. They are available by either mail in or you can RSVP on the RSVP tab.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

The reception will be a buffet with beef and chicken options with plenty of side dishes. For vegetarians/vegans, there will be two types of salad and vegetable sides. There will be a light open bar (beer and wine) with the option to purchase liquor.

May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?

Answer

Our centerpieces will be artificial. Please feel free to take one (or more) home with you.
