Mac and Hannah both grew up just outside their hometown of Mason, Michigan. Even though they were only two years apart in high school, they never officially met until Hannah’s senior year when Mac was a sophomore at Michigan State University. They met at a small gathering at Mac and his friends' apartment one night in August. Hannah was out to dinner in East Lansing with a friend when they were invited over to hang out. Hannah made a good impression on Mac even though they only shared a few words that night. The next day he got her screen name from a friend and started talking to her on AIM. The next weekend they had their first date watching the movie, V for Vendetta. You could say the rest is history because they've been together ever since.
Mac and Hannah have loved playing golf together over the years so Mac got Saturday tickets to the 100th anniversary of the PGA Championship in St. Louis, Missouri. For Hannah, this was just an exciting trip with the opportunity to see many of the players they always see on TV but Mac had other plans. He was planning on proposing on the 12th hole since they were also celebrating their 12th anniversary that month. That plan quickly fell apart when Hannah started to feel overheated from the 90 degree plus weather they were having. After cooling off in the shade and a few glasses of water later, they were able to continue watching the tournament to the day's end. While they were watching the last group on the 18th green, Mac suggested a walk to the first hole for pictures. It was there in the middle of the 1st fairway where Mac got down on one knee and asked Hannah to marry him, and Hannah said yes! It was an amazing day to remember and they even made the local news. Now it's time to make Hannah a Stoddard! #MacKingHannahStoddard
