Desmond and I met in 2015 while working in Charlotte NC. He was a staff member at the hospital and I was a traveling Tech. At that time Desmond and I both were in so-called relationships. When I first encountered him I thought he was a handsome guy and admired his focus on his relationship that he was in at that time. During our lunch conversation all Desmond talked about was the woman he was dating. We kept in touch (briefly) via Facebook. Moving forward it was sometime in November of 2017 that we ended up conversating. I believe he was checking out my page but let him tell it- it was me Facebook stalking him LOL.( not the case) Later he admitted that he has been Facebook stalking me. December 16, 2017 I drove to watch my son play basketball in Charlotte NC, and after the game I then drove to Millen, GA to visit Desmond, he kept calling I believe to make sure I still was coming. When I arrived, Desmond was coming out of the house, wait, I think he was sitting on the porch anxiously waiting my arrival. (LOL) When I stepped out the car he jumped off the porch (literally) just joking. The next thing I knew we were in each others arms, he then greeted me with a nice passionate kiss, right then we knew something special was there. Our first date was in Savannah, GA and it was amazing and memorable. I drove back to Tennessee thinking could the feelings he left me with be real? All doubts was removed after what was called our second date in South Carolina, we attended his cousins comedy show, we were inseparable from that point on spending every moment possible together even when that meant phone conversations, face-timing, and road trips every other weekend to see each other. Desmond and I prayed together, laughed together, and even cried together. This allowed us to grow closer together and in God. Through good times and tough times we have come together as one and we cannot wait to form this union before God with all our family and friends.
Desmond picked me up from work like normal, he then proceeded to take me to go walking on The Walnut Street Pedestrian Bridge that I ran on everyday while living in Chattanooga Tennessee. I was a bit confused because it was cold out. He continued to tell me that he just wanted to go walk over this bridge that people been telling him about, questionable, but I went with his plan. As we were walking we saw a couple with a big pretty dog, Desmond said "I'm going to ask them what kind of dog is that" I was a bit confused because Desmond do not like dogs so why did he care, and plus it was COLD!!! Desmond called me over to see this dog (that I truly had no interested in, but the dog was beautiful) As I acted interested in this dog, I then heard the woman say, " okay its rolling" I was like "It's rolling to myself, (confused). I look over and there he was on his knee, on the bridge I use to run on, (before the foot injury) Desmond took my hand and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him, in shock and FREEZING, he proceeded to put the ring on the wrong hand ( to funny) as I put out the right hand with excitement and with no doubt said YES!
