Previously Oklahoma Joe's, this is the most famous BBQ place in KC. The Z-Man is the favorite and has stood the test of time.

BBQ with tons of awards. Start off with the Onion Fries as an appetizer!
Char Bar
Phenomenal BBQ, fun outdoor seating and games and a great beer menu.
Jack Stack Barbecue
The Boujee BBQ option, but there is nothing that I wouldn't eat on this menu, especially the ribs and cheesy corn. - Mac

The BEST wings in KC, voted by people more important than us. A famous KC staple.
Mickey's Hideaway
Good American Menu. Fantastic burgers, sandwiches, and mac and cheese. Start with the Pokemon Fries as an appetizer!
Lulu's Thai Noodle Shop
Great Thai Food! Mac's favorite is the Drunken Noodles. Check out Baramee Thai a couple blocks to the North for a more authentic Thai experience.
Blue Koi Noodles & Dumplings
Local Japanese Restaurant and has been a favorite of Mac's for years. One of the first meals Hannah and Mac shared! I've only ever ordered the dumplings :)

Adult Arcade Bar. Huge tap list and tons of old school arcade games. Super fun!

Ya like jazz? Late night jazz and drinks. Dress nice!

Hannah and Mac's second date! Go hang out at an outside table over a couple drinks to recreate our date.
Chicken N Pickle - Kansas City
Fun party spot for groups of 4 or morewith food and drinks! Go play Pickleball if you're sticking around on Sunday or Monday! Might want to reserve a court though.
Café Equinox
Family Tree Nursery and Coffee. Go buy a plant and have a latte! This place is AMAZING.
Messenger Coffee Co. + Ibis Bakery
National award winning coffee and sweet atmosphere. Check out the third story roof top seating!
The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art
Arguably the most beautiful spot in KC. Free entrance to the museum, or walk around the art filled grounds and grab some Thou Mayest Coffee!
Country Club Plaza
The fancy part of town, great to just walk around and window shop. Barnes and Noble, Made in KC, H&M, Lululemon, Shake Shack, Tesla, Moosejaw, Old Navy, and tons more shops!
Boulevard Brewing Company
Huge tap room to hang out in and grab some famous Boulevard beers or what they're brewing in their test kitchen. Also has a really fantastic tour to take around the facility. Learn about the history and brewing process!
Lawrence Farmers' Market
Support local farmers, small businesses, and artists by browsing local produce, art, novelty coffee, and good eats. Hannah's favorite is the crepe stand! 7:30-11:30am every Saturday morning.

Looking for a calm, quiet activity? Spend the afternoon painting a unique and lasting memory to capture your time in Lawrence. Mac and Hannah painted ceramics together on the day they got engaged!

Come dine on some fine eats while tasting a flight of locally brewed beer. Hannah had the opportunity to shoot a commercial for Black Stag, which was broadcast on local television!
