We met at Youthfront Camp West in 2014. Hannah was a cabin leader and Mac was on the Hype Crew. We didn't actually talk until week 8 of 10, and during week 9 we went on our first date. It was a success, we went on a couple more, had our own talent show dance, and started dating before Hannah went back to Lawrence and Mac went back to school in Iowa. We broke up during the school year, reconnected at camp the next summer, started dating again on July 4, 2015, and broke up again a few months later. We then spent 5 years apart, thinking about each other occasionally and reconnecting over coffee twice to catch up as friends. On August 9, 2020 Hannah direct messaged Mac on Instagram and he asked her to catch up over drinks. A couple dates and a trip to the KC zoo later, and we started dating for a third time on September 12. This time, as we realized how much we grew over the years and got exponentially better at communication and sacrifice, we fell in love and got engaged and plan to get married less than a year after we started dating. We just can't wait to start our life together and celebrate with our friends and family!
