Ashlee Wyant

Matron of Honor

Ashlee is Shelby’s Matron of honor, best friend and sister at heart! Ashlee and Shelby have been friends for 5 years and met while Ashlee’s husband and Shelby’s fiancé played baseball together at Johnson County Community College. Ashlee owns her own dance studio in Center Point, IA and is also studying to be a nurse! They enjoy long talks and dancing like idiots. Get the two of them laughing and they’ll never stop! Ashlee has been amazing with coordinating all things wedding and making this the best experience possible. We’re so thankful for her!

Nick Korosec

Best Man

Nick and Luis went to high school together at Bonner Springs High School. They met in 7th grade in Mrs. Tate’s English class. Nick and Luis met through a love of baseball and both of their favorite player being Alex Rodriguez. When they were young pups, they enjoyed hanging out at each other’s houses, walking to Dairy Queen, and splitting a couple bucks at a nearby McDonald’s. Nick and Luis also love to debate about anything whether it be sports or the most popular debate choice, Kanye being a better rapper than Drake. Nick works at US Bank as an HR coordinator. Nick also has a little boy who will be our ring bearer at the wedding.

Angel Meyer

Angel and Shelby met through a mutual friend and after one night of line dancing, they immediately clicked! They’ve been friends for 4 years and have spent many nights with tacos, line dancing, the bachelorette and Pinterest. They enjoy double dates with a monopoly and pizza combo. Angel is a dog mom of one and is engaged to be married in October of 2020! Angel is an Assistant Manager for an apartment community and also loves to bake! Angel has been one of Shelby’s biggest supporters and has always been by her side cheering her on!

Justin Wyant

Groomsman

Justin and Luis met in 2013 at Johnson County Community College while on the baseball team. Justin and Luis’ friendship really took off in their second year at Johnson County. While at Johnson County they enjoyed eating at Chic-Fil-A, grabbing half priced burgers at Talk of the Town on Wednesday nights, and Luis would often copy Justin’s biology homework before class. Justin and Luis’ friendship has really grown after school even though Justin lived in Chicago for a few years after JCCC and is from Iowa. Even though there is a distance, anytime they get together it’s as if they haven’t spent anytime apart. Justin is married to Ashlee Wyant who is Shelby’s Matron of Honor. Justin is a dad to be and is currently working in construction while living in Center Point, Iowa.

Steffi Nazaire

Steffi and Shelby met at Pryor and have been besties ever since! They share a love for makeup, fashion and practically anything shiny. Steffi has one son, named Hudson. She works for Lake Lotawana Police Department and enjoys Game of Thrones! Steffi has accompanied Shelby to every event from learning how to make cocktails and wedding bouquets, to dress shopping and much more! Steffi has picked Shelby up in any situation and has always kept it real. Her friendship and commitment has meant the world to Shelby and Luis!

Ted Gardea

Groomsman

Ted is Luis’ younger brother. Ted and Luis had a crazy bond when they were growing up from riding bikes around the neighborhood to playing football/baseball on the street or having full on wrestling matches in their parents bedroom. Ted and Luis share a love for baseball to see who could throw harder or hit a ball further. Growing up they also enjoyed playing video games against each other with the loser usually throwing a fit (and a controller). Ted works at a Mexican restaurant as a cook and has plans to enroll in the Johnson County culinary program in the near future.

Megan Penman

Bridesmaid

Megan and Shelby met at Pryor in 2015 and have been great friends since! Shelby and Megan share a love for zombies, the lake and Grey's Anatomy. Megan is a mom of three and is married to her husband Brian who is also our wedding officiant. Megan would be considered the dare devil of the friend group! If you’re ever looking for the tube ride of your life, hit her up and she just may give you a concussion (with love). Megan is also known for her huge heart, cheeky sense of humour and ability to find the funny side of every situation! We’re so excited to have her!

Sergio Valenzuela

Groomsman

Sergio and Luis also went to high school together and met through baseball. Sergio and Luis’ friendship has really taken off the last couple of years with both of our loves for disc golf. They are out every weekend, always playing rounds around town. They will also go out and play in tournaments and try to play competitively. Sergio has convinced Luis to play in tournaments in freezing temperatures and in tournaments where Luis loses to 12 year olds. They also share a love for baseball and basketball competing in their fantasy leagues. Sergio is also unfortunately a Kansas State fan, so try to not hold that against him. Sergio currently works at WSP as an assistant Civil Engineer.

Ali Madden

Ali and Shelby met at Pryor and quickly became friends! Ali owns her own wedding business, Brick and Ivory Events and serves as a wedding planner/coordinator all across Kansas and Missouri. She is also Shelby's wedding planner/coordinator and has done a wonderful job, giving tips and helping ease concerns. Ali is a dog mom of two, and is married to her husband Bill. She's a free spirit and always has a listening ear. We’re so lucky to have her!

Tony Sanchez

Groomsman

Tony and Luis went to high school together at Bonner Springs High School. Tony is a class ahead of Luis, so they met through baseball. Tony was Luis’ ride to early morning baseball practices and anywhere they needed to go. Tony was even such a good friend he cut Luis a deal and sold him that same Honda Accord. Tony and Luis share a love for sports particularly baseball. Even though Tony is a Dodgers fan, he’s a low-key Royals fan. After a couple years of playing baseball at Johnson County and not seeing Tony for a while, he reached out and they rekindled their high school friendship through disc golf on the weekends. Tony has gone back to school and is deciding between becoming a law or marketing major.
