Places to Eat

La Plaza Taqueria

La Plaza Taqueria

13609 Lakewood Heights Boulevard, Cleveland, OH 44107
, (216) 476-8000

$ - If you're looking for a quick and cheap bite to eat, this unassuming taqueria is situated inside a Latino grocery store. The tacos are so good even Lizzo was blown away. No reservations required - just go up to the counter and place your order for dine-in or take-out. Be sure to get a Mexican coke to wash down the tacos for a truly authentic dining experience.

Il Rione

Il Rione

1303 West 65th Street, Cleveland, OH 44102
, (216) 282-1451

$$ - We went here on our second date and continue to frequent it. Andrew's recommendation is the Green Pie (#2) while Lorena recommends the Diavolo Pie (#3). You can also order a Slice Pie off menu for a more New York-style vibe. No reservations and it fills up quickly, but feel free to put your name in and go down the street to Toast for a cocktail while you wait!

Goma

Goma

2079 East 4th Street, Cleveland, OH 44115
, (216) 770-4662

$$$ - If you're looking for a more upscale restaurant, this is the place to go. The tasting menu is superb, but you can't go wrong with a la carte either. Accepts reservations - we recommend sitting at the counter to watch the sushi chefs work their magic.

Amba

Amba

1430 West 28th Street, Cleveland, OH 44113
, (216) 417-6718

$$$ - Modern Indian cuisine with shared small plates. Unfortunately does not take reservations, but if you arrive on the earlier side (5 or 6pm), there usually isn't a wait. If you like tequila, the a7 on the cocktail menu is delicious.
