Carhartt Family Wines
Carhartt Family Wines is the most fun tasting room in Los Olivos! If wine tasting is on your list, do not miss this spot. Wines are incredible, vibes are immaculate. You may even get to meet the winemaker at our wedding! Keith's favorite wine is their Fhuquette Blanc, and Lacey loves all the wines. They offer a rotating tasting menu, and reservations are requested.
Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. Los Olivos
Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co is the best local brewery! They typically have a great food truck and music on Saturday afternoons, and we love Bingo Night on Wednesdays. Keith's favorite beer is the Guava Point Conception IPA, Lacey's is the Fig Light.
Demetria Estate & Vineyards
If you are looking for a vineyard experience, we highly recommend Demetria. You will feel like you have been transported to Italy, in the best way possible. Reservations are required, and it is about a 20-minute drive from Los Olivos. There is no cell service once you get there - enjoy unplugging and make sure you have a designated driver!
River Course At Alisal
For those who would like to enjoy a day of golf, the River Course at the Alisal features four lakes and often follows the meandering path of the Santa Ynez River. At 6,830 yards, the Par 72 layout is challenging but not punishing. The River Grill Restaurant offers a great lunch and spectacular views of the course and hills beyond!

Do not miss our favorite restaurant! Peasant's Feast in Solvang offers an amazing lunch (Wednesday-Sunday) and an unbelievable dinner (Thursday-Saturday). If you still have room for dessert, you will not regret Nannie's Frozen Key Lime Pie! This restaurant does not accept reservations and is first come, first served.
peasants DELI & ARCADE
Peasant's Deli is across the street from Peasant's Feast in Solvang and offers some of the best sandwiches in the area. Our favorite is the Kobe Roast Beef. Order online and pack a picnic to one of the vineyards, or stay a while and enjoy the attached Arcade!
PANINO - Santa Ynez
Panino has locations throughout the valley, in Santa Ynez, Solvang, and Los Olivos. They offer great sandwiches and salads for a quick lunch or a picnic! Keith's order is #19 on Foccacia, and Lacey's is #18 on Sourdough.
Brothers Restaurant at the Red Barn
Red Barn in Santa Ynez is one of the places we go regularly. You cannot go wrong with their burgers, and their bread basket is the best in the area! Lacey also recommends the tuna tartare and seasonal soups.
Ellie’s Tap & Vine
Ellie's Tap and Vine in Santa Ynez offers a rotating menu of seasonal comfort foods and a local wine list. The owner, Joy, is almost always cooking in the kitchen and checking in on guests. We love going to Ellie's with Keith's mom, Susie, and grandma, Anke.
Coast Range
Coast Range Restaurant in Solvang offers a wonderful brunch menu Wednesday-Monday. Do not miss the CR Doughnuts! They also serve dinner and have a fun cocktail bar attached called the Vaquero Bar. They make a killer Espresso Martini.
Nella Kitchen & Bar
Nella Kitchen & Bar in Los Olivos is a great place to stop for a bite between wine tasting or a fun dinner. Chris makes the best cocktails in the valley! We also recommend their sister restaurant in Santa Ynez, SY Kitchen.
Leonardo's Ristorante-Pizzeria
Leonardo offers some of the best Italian food in the valley! Across the way, Leo's Cafe offers breakfast and lunch. They are both closed on Sundays.
Bob's Well Bread at the Ballard Store
Bob's Well Bread is our top recommendation for a great breakfast (or lunch) and delicious baked goods. Put it on your list as a do-not-miss. Fun fact: the owner, Bob, used to work with Lacey's dad, Gary, in the entertainment business!
Craft House At Corque
Craft House at Corque is a great restaurant on-site at the Hotel Corque. They offer brunch starting at 9:00AM Friday through Tuesday, as well as lunch and dinner throughout the week.
Queen Cup Coffee
Queen Cup Coffee is one of our favorite coffee shops! They offer delicious specialty lattes and fun merchandise. Keith's favorite drink is the Sparkly Arnie, and Lacey's is the Canela Oat Latte.
Good Seed Coffee Boutique
Good Seed is another fantastic coffee shop in Solvang! The baristas are so friendly. If it's cool enough, try out Lacey's custom drink - a hot latte with cinnamon steamed into the milk. They will probably know we sent you!
Lovers Loop
Santa Ynez Valley offers really amazing hikes, and we highly recommend adding hiking to your list if it is something that you enjoy! We also love walking around different neighborhoods - everywhere you look is a beautiful view. Lovers Loop is a nice easy-moderate 4.1-mile loop that is part of the Midland School trails system on Figueroa Mountain Road. You can go harder and hike the full Grass Mountain trail if you'd like! We also love the Greengate trail in the system, which can be a 2.5-mile or a 5-mile loop. We took our engagement photos at the start of this trail! More Wine Tasting in Los Olivos
There are so many wonderful tasting rooms to enjoy in Los Olivos! Some of our favorites include: Story of Soil, Future Perfect, Dreamcote, Stolpman Los Olivos Patio, Stolpman Fresh Garage (whole-grape fermentation wines, including Love You Bunches), Kaena (specializing in Grenache), Waylan, and Coquelicot. All of these tasting rooms are within walking distance of each other, but please be safe and do not drink and drive!
