Cocktail attire for the wedding ceremony and reception. Jackets, ties, cute dresses, whatever makes you feel comfortable and alive. The ceremony will be outside (unless the weather REALLY isn't with us) so dress appropriately.
No kids at our wedding. We love all of them! But due to space, safety, etc., we can’t have them. We will ask the hotel if they have any child care options or babysitter referrals and post them here.
We will have an open bar for guests at the reception and welcome party. Clay Hill Farm requires ID for anyone under 30, but we are pretty sure that mostly everyone we have invited has reached that age. Anyway, might as well bring it, just in case!
We are providing transportation to the venue from the following places: To: Drakes Island - Pick up at the community house at 2:50. The bus will make another stop at the hotel before heading to the venue. Anchorage by the Sea - Pick up at the Lightship Building, which is across the street from the main hotel, at 3:15 p.m. From: We will have busses going from the venue to Drakes Island and the Anchorage by the Sea for those who are ready to call it night. The bus will also make a stop in downtown Ogunquit for those who want to go for a nightcap. The bus will be available around midnight to take Drakes Islanders home from downtown Ogunquit. Driving is also an option! There is plenty of parking at Clay Hill Farm.
The ceremony will be on Clay Hill Farm's outdoor grounds. If the weather does not cooperate, it will be held indoors.
A lot of people have been asking question and we've sort of stumbled over our answer for it. There are no hard rules! It’s at a very low-key restaurant that specializes in fried clams so there is no need to be extra formal. We recommend going smart casual — something that makes you feel comfortable and confident and ready to kick off the weekend. Lizzie’s wearing a dress, and Nate’s wearing slacks and a shirt and no tie. Nice jeans, fun/bright shirts, linen pants are also options. Can’t wait to see you all there!
There are a few Ubers and Lyfts in the area but it's not as dependable as it is in Boston. We recommend taking advantage of the transportation we're providing, and planning ahead if you need a ride from train station to Ogunquit.
