Friends and family, we hope you are staying well and safe during this scary time for everyone! We just wanted to let you all know that we have made the hard decision to postpone the wedding festivities until June 19th, 2021. We so wish we could be with everyone on our wedding date (June 13th,2020) but cant wait to celebrate a renewal of vows with you next year! Formal invitations and RSVPs will be sent out in Spring 2021. We hope you can make it! Love, Liz and Tom
In May 2015, Tom was assigned to drive to the Laramie, Wyoming airport to pick up a fresh new group of staff members for the A-A Ranch. Little did he know he would be picking up his future wife and taking her to the Boot Barn because she didn't know what "western wear" meant on the packing list... Tom and Liz enjoyed working together all summer and into the fall. Their relationship grew and when it came time to leave the Ranch, they knew they had something very special! After some time back in North Carolina, Liz finally made her way to Denver and her way back to Tom. They have been loving their life together ever since and thank God every day for bringing them together at the A-A Ranch!
Whether it is to ski, fish, camp, or just enjoy the views, Tom and Liz are constantly heading west to soak in the glory of the Rocky Mountains. So, on the June morning of the big day, nothing seemed out of the ordinary to Liz as they packed the car and left to go "camping" for the night. Later that day, as they rode up and over Berthud Pass, (Liz's favorite spot to snap photos and let the Pup out to play), Tom's hands began to sweat and he was definitely driving a bit more cautiously than usual. Once they arrived at the top of the pass, Tom hopped out of the car and offered to take some photos of Liz and Scotch. Wearing her typical Phish concert tee and chacos, Liz obliged and posed for the camera. Lucky for Tom, someone else was also stopping along the way and asked to take their photo. This was the big moment! Tom sneakily told her that he was proposing and to take as many photos as possible! Not to be forgotten, this person happened to be an elderly woman who had never actually used an iphone... needless to say she did a fantastic job given the circumstances! Tom then got on one knee, Liz froze and- after about two minutes of shaking from excitement- finally said YES! They then headed to Steamboat Springs, CO for a surprise trip down memory lane to where they had their very first date back in 2015. They even sat in the same booth at the restaurant. All in all, it was a magical weekend full of laughter and love that will never be forgotten!
