Harold and Lisa both joined eHarmony at different times hoping to find a life partner. When eHarmony matched them together, they were eager to connect. After messaging back and forth for a short time period, Lisa decided to take a risk and give Harold her number. Shortly thereafter, the soon-to-be-couple ventured out on their first in person date to dinner and a movie in November of 2019. While Harold claims he was as cool as a cucumber, Lisa admits she was nervous meeting him for the first time but relieved when they hit it off. The connection was made and Harold and Lisa proceeded to see each other several more times that same week! After that initial week, Harold and Lisa decided that they no longer needed eHarmony. They cancelled their subscriptions and began dating...each other of course! Moving quickly Harold found a promise ring and presented it to Lisa on Valentine's Day a mere 3 months later. Their relationship continued to grow with many more dates and time spent together. Lisa began looking for a ring that would signify a more permanent commitment...and dropped many a hint about that fact. Harold was making moves of his own by talking to Lisa's father, asking if he could marry her. Despite this conversation and the numerous hints Lisa shamelessly dropped, Harold's initial "pedal to the metal" pace took on a more "Sunday drive" speed to reach the finish line.
Lisa and Harold traveled to New York to visit family in April 2023. Harold brought the ring he purchased 2 years prior with him, in case the opportunity presented itself for him to propose. The morning of the 8th, Harold decided to pop the question and asked Lisa if she wanted to go on a drive around the neighborhood. This question made the sisters suspicious since they were in the middle of nowhere and there really isn't a neighborhood to drive around. However, they waited patiently for their return. This "drive around the neighborhood" turned into a trip to the beautiful Letchworth State Park. The two lovebirds walked around the park for a brief time, before pausing on the path overlooking the upper falls. Here Harold slowly lowered to one knee (he didn't want to break anything) and said, "Schnoockums (aka Lisa), I've had this ring for two years. I loves you with all my britches. Will you marry me?!" Lisa exclaimed, "FINALLY!! Yes, Yes I will." The now-engaged couple's faces glowed as they headed back to the car. Harold told Lisa that she couldn't say anything until someone noticed the ring. About to burst with the news, the couple returned to the house to face the "I knew it" looks of the sisters. Mary was the first to see Lisa and quickly eyeballed her left hand. Lisa saw that Mary had seen the ring and could not be contained any longer. She shrieked with excitement, and everyone appeared around them with congratulations.
