What's the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal; the ceremony will be at an outdoor chapel with a very rustic feel - so I would avoid bold/bright colors. Kevin is NOT wearing a tux, but I will be wearing a dress. The reception will be held indoors.

Where can I get tested for COVID?

Answer

CVS - free, but by appointment 371 ASHEVILLE HWY, BREVARD, NC 28712 Walgreens - free, but by appointment 382 ASHEVILLE HWY, BREVARD, NC 28712 Northeast corner OF HWY 64 & CHESTNUT ST Note: Walgreens and CVS both offer take home tests that you can purchase in stores for ~$20.

We love your kids but want to give you the night off! Adults only please.

Is the wedding inside?

Answer

The ceremony is in a covered, outdoor chapel! You will not be exposed to the elements but it may be a little chilly! Check the weather. The reception will be at a different venue and will be indoors.

What time can I arrive at The Pretty Place?

Answer

We have The Pretty Place reserved from 4:00 - 6:00. Please allow the bride to get to the venue and get situated before arriving. So 4:10 at the very earliest!

Are there bathrooms at the outdoor chapel?

Answer

There is ONE bathroom, but plenty of nature and a porta potty (or 2).

How far is The Pretty Place (wedding) from The Shamrock Room (reception venue)?

Answer

34 MINUTES 15 minutes of the commute will be mountain roads - be prepared for twists and turns!

When can I take pictures with my date/family?

Answer

Guests are encouraged to take photos before the wedding ceremony from 4:10 - 4:25. The ceremony will begin at 4:30.

Is alcohol allowed at The Pretty Place?

Answer

No. Alcohol is not permitted at The Pretty Place. This is a chapel.

Will there be alcohol at the reception?

Answer

Yes! Beer and wine are on us, but liquor will be available as a "cash bar" option.

Is there cell reception at The Pretty Place?

Answer

The venue is literally on the side of the mountain. You will probably have poor cellphone reception so make sure to load your GPS before entering the "dead zone". If you get lost, follow the masses. The Pretty Place Chapel is really the only thing up this mountainous road.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If you are in a serious relationship, we'd love to have your partner join us! or even have a mutual friend tag along - but no randos please! The goal is to have an intimate wedding shared with the people we KNOW and love.
