In April 2016, Lindsay was told a new hire, Scott Haskins, was joining the Kimberly-Clark Staff Engineering team in Neenah, Wisconsin. This news was nothing exciting to Lindsay, and quite frankly she assumed the new hire was going to be a new college graduate. Prior to meeting Lindsay in person, Scott’s colleague was adamant about letting him know that Lindsay was a Finalist for the New York Jets’ Cheerleading team. Scott thought it was a little weird that this coworker kept mentioning Lindsay so frequently at this time. A few weeks later, Lindsay finally met Scott at her mill in New Milford, CT. Their encounter took place right next to the Bundler machine in the Converting Department. This was by no means a romantic place to meet someone, but the two instantly got along. Later that night at a team dinner, Lindsay discovered Scott was not a young, new college graduate. He made sure to let her know how old he was during dinner. Over the next couple of months their friendship blossomed. They quickly realized how similar each other were in terms of how busy they both were outside of life at Kimberly-Clark. It was not long before Lindsay learned about Bee Bella, Scott's start-up company that he shares with fellow Co-Founders and Groomsmen, James Wiciak and Jonathan Dudzinski. To be honest, news of 3 men starting a lip balm company was a little peculiar to Lindsay, and at that time she refused to pay $10 to try this product. She eventually caved in and purchased some lip balm just before competing in the Miss Connecticut USA 2017 pageant. If you ask Lindsay or Scott today “who liked who first?”, neither will answer without a debate, but it was clear shortly after this pageant, that this once innocent friendship had started to evolve. Aside from the very obvious uptick in flirting, everything changed in January 2017 when Scott let Lindsay know that he found her to be attractive, and proceeded to ask her to be his Valentine. The rest is history!
