We came from humble beginnings really... meeting through the best man and a mutual friend while the best man was "house sitting" for a family friend. We connected over working for a local pool management company. (If you know Lindsay, she can gossip about the pool all day) The night continues and yada yada yada, Matt at one point is begging for Lindsay's phone number in 3 digit increments. Thankfully, Lindsay obliged. Once the summer ended, we went back to college and continued our relationship long distance. After many months and many homeruns given up by Matt, we were finally in the same zip code during the summer of 2012. You know how the story goes... Maryland's prodigal son returns home and the Orioles go to the playoffs and the Ravens win the Super Bowl. Oh sorry, we're talking about us. The next year had its ups and downs. Namely, Matt having to sit shivering in the cold during many a Goucher field hockey loss. Go Gophs! Armed and dangerous with two bachelors degrees and two good smiles, Lindsay and Matt took on the seventh ring of hell - I mean the working world. Matt tackled the world of mental health at Sheppard Pratt, subsequently ruining his own mental health. And Lindsay... well Lindsay made her mark in the country club lifeguarding circuit. Fast forward to 2018 because I'm close to the character limit. Lindsay became the "Master of her domain" and got her Masters of Art in Teaching. And Matt had done a career 180 and was fully immersed in the world of email marketing. After nightly questions (read: threats) from Lindsay about when, how, and where a proposal was coming from... Matt returned to the scene of all hope and joy... the Goucher College field hockey field. Lindsay was totally surprised and shockingly, roles had reversed. Lindsay was uncontrollably crying and Matt somehow held it together. So here we are, present day, getting hitched in the middle of a Maryland summer. We both CANNOT wait to spend the day with YOU! ///
