Garnet Mine Tours
Visit one of the largest garnet deposits in the world! Located conveniently nearby the wedding venue, this is a great spot to explore and gather some gems while you're at it. A great activity for all ages and accessibility levels.
Gore Mountain
Gore Mountain is the largest ski area in NY but offers activities in the summer as well, including scenic skyrides via the Gondola, hiking and downhill mountain biking. The base of Gore Mountain is located about 20 minutes from the wedding venue.
Lake Placid
If you are planning to visit for longer than the weekend, Lake Placid, NY is a great area to check out! Take an elevator to the top of the Olympic Ski Jumps complex, go whitewater rafting along the Hudson River Gorge or relax on the waterfront of Mirror Lake. With a variety of activities, there is something for everyone.
Lake George
Less than an hour away from the Lodge, Lake George is a great place to visit. Lilly grew up on the north end of Lake George and spent her summers enjoying the pristine water and gorgeous scenery. Hike (or drive!) up Prospect Mountain for panoramic views of Lake George and the surrounding mountain ranges. Relax on the beach and take a dip in the water or enjoy the views from a steamboat as you cruise around. There is also the Six Flags Great Escape amusement park down the road if you are a thrill-seeker!
