Adam first met Libby at his mom’s house where he hosted a small group. They started hanging out in a mutual friend group and this is when Adam would start to take an interest in Libby. For months, he talked to his best friend and asked if it was a good idea to ask her out on a date. One night after the small group, Adam found the courage to ask Libby out for malts, and he knew she couldn’t say no to that. Libby thought that a whole group would be going, but Adam had a different idea… That night it was raining sideways, hailing, and there was a tornado warning but that didn’t stop Adam from letting Libby know that he liked her. After this, Libby let Adam know that she’d need some time to think about it (she’s a processor...) Adam waited a WEEK without hearing from her, but Libby finally texted him that she’d like to meet up again and let him know where she was at. Adam remembers her saying, “My heart is softened to trying” and man was he for her heart softening because here we are today.
