We realize that this relatively late notice for planning a trip to Colombia, and we are thrilled to welcome those of you who can make it. Medellín's position in a valley at around 5,000 feet above sea level makes for a perfect year-round climate, earning it the nickname "City of the Eternal Spring." You've probably heard some terrifying things about the city, but we ask you to keep an open mind and prepare to be wowed by its stunning mountain landscapes, friendly people, vibrant culture, and delicious food.

The airport is around a half hour from the city via a newly constructed tunnel. We recommend the official blue-and-white airport taxis, which charge approximately 90,000 Colombian pesos (around $19) for the trip. We can also arrange a private pickup if needed.
