Our shared love for travel quickly led to a bucket list of trips. Banff was towards the very top, and we finally had the opportunity to book it in September 2022. Our sweet friends, Josh & Cara, travelled with us and executed the perfect plan for a photoshoot Friday night, saying they needed an image for their Christmas Card this year. We decided to go to Vermilion Lakes. Driving around the lake, we found an empty dock where we stopped to get some pictures and watch the sunset. Little did Lexi know, Marc had another plan in mind. Marc got down on his knee, Lexi began to cry, and Josh & Cara captured the perfect moment all on camera. The magic of that night will live with us forever, and we know our wedding day will easily compare.

Lexi was finishing her college degree at Virginia Tech and looking to line up a few job opportunities in Colorado after graduation. Marc has always had a huge interest in Landscape Photography, and his bumble profile showed it. Lexi matched him on a visit to Colorado and immediately reached out asking for recommendations on hikes and places to visit. He replied pretty quickly and the conversation immediately flowed. We eventually met at a bar in Denver, followed by a hike the next day, and dinner with Lexi's grandparents the next. As we drove to the airport that evening, we both sat there unsure of what to feel or think, but sad at the thought of never seeing one another again. We couldn't stop talking, and with a few flights, and many FaceTime calls later, Lexi finished her degree and accepted a job back out in Colorado. We have since loved our time hiking with Dakota, trying new restaurants and breweries, and most of all traveling together!
