Maid of Honor
Crystine and I met in middle school, on the Sarah Banks swim team! We bonded over our love of quoting Spongebob and our quirky swim antics (whale noises, making up weird songs, etc). Although we left our swim days behind us a long time ago, we have always been there for each other through all of life's ups and downs. From Panera dates after swim practice, to girl talk sessions on her parent's basement couch, to weekend trips Up North, we have so many memories together. Crystine is an amazing chef, wine connoisseur, and dog mom to her pups Leelou and Duncan. She's also quickly moving up the company ladder in Wine Sales, which allows her to provide free wine to our friendship in addition to being a wonderful human. Our dogs love to play together and have enjoyed many a Super Bowl party together! I'm lucky to have such a loyal friend in my life.
Best Man
Perhaps the only person I will acknowledge is a bigger Michigan sports fan than I am, Mark and I have been friends since Day 1 of college. In those early days in West Quad 4th Winchell, I introduced myself to Mark when I heard him analyzing the depths of Michigan Football's depth chart. Later that year we shared the pain of Michigan's Elite Eight loss on a last second 3, and that is not a bond that can be broken. In Junior and Senior year, Mark and I lived together with Jayson on Packard street, where our 'Boys of Packard' crew was born. Skipping past the details of the shenanigans from those years, Mark is currently a Captain in the Air Force assigned to Altus Air Force base as C-17 pilot instructor. However, we still frequently see each other in travels to sporting events or Boys of Packard reunions. Find us in the crowd at the next Michigan National Championship Game.
Bridesmaid
Heather is one of the first friends I ever made in nursing school at Michigan, and can also be indirectly credited with introducing Kyle and I to each other! Heather and I met at college orientation. The school must have wanted us to be friends because they assigned us to the same clinical group not once but two times! In our junior year we became roommates, and in our senior year house between long study sessions she introduced me to all of her wonderful friends, who soon became my friends too. As mentioned before, one of these friends was Sarah, who introduced me to Kyle before a night out in October of 2016. Heather's and my families spent our college graduation together the following year, and Kyle and I go to a UM football game with Heather's family every year. I was lucky to have been able to stand beside Heather last summer as she married her best friend, Brennan, and can't wait to have Heather by my side this year!
Bridesmaid
Hope is Kyle's youngest sister, and how lucky am I to be gaining 2 more sisters! Hope is an expert baker and wins the family Christmas Cookie decorating competition almost every year, much to Kyle's dismay (except this past year when I took home the crown, also to Kyle's dismay). She is also an amazing swimmer who swam at Hope College, and is about to get her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Duke. Last summer, we celebrated her White Coat Ceremony and took a tour of Durham, and this summer she will be graduating! We can't wait to have her be a part of our wedding!
Bridesmaid
Noel is the oldest of Kyle's two younger sisters, and I get the pleasure of calling her my future sister-in-law! I first met Noel on a trip out to the Philadelphia area to see Kyle's family, where we spent a great girls weekend at the botanical gardens. She is funny, supportive, and easy to talk to. She is also a lover of all animals and is going to be a great dog aunt for Norman! This past year she is moved down to Georgia and has continued her animal care career there, along with keeping busy hostessing at several restaurants. We're so excited to have her in our wedding celebrations!
Bridesmaid
I met Sarah through Heather and had the pleasure of living with her senior year at the Ann house, and she is the friend who actually introduced me to Kyle! It was a brief meeting, as she was getting ready to go out with Kyle and some other friends. But I also give Sarah a lot of the credit for Kyle and I getting together. When I moved back home from California, I made plans to hang out with Sarah and her boyfriend, Niko, and Kyle was invited to come along too. Because Kyle and I lived so close, he offered to drive me, and the rest is basically history! So thank you, Sar :D Among her many talents are master chef and literature aficionado. Sarah teaches high school English and received her Masters in Education at University of Alabama last year. I keep telling her to buy a house in our neighborhood now that she's moved back to Michigan so we can see each other all the time- it hasn't worked yet but I'll keep trying!
Bridesmaid
I met Andrea through Heather in our senior year at Michigan, when we all lived in the same house on Ann Street. Little did I know she would quickly become one of my best friends! We enjoyed going out some, but not quite as much as the rest of our friends, so she and I would spend lots of nights in drinking wine and watching reality TV. We also bonded over our similar taste in music, and have gone to concerts and festivals together. Andrea is from southern California and moved back after college. When I lived in San Diego, we were about 2 hours apart and I got to see her pretty much every month. It was so nice to have a familiar face close by, and now we each have someone to stay with when we visit each other's states when she's not busy building her success climbing up the Yaamava Casino ladder. Andrea is also a full and half marathoner!
Groomsman
I first met Allie's older brother Nick a few years ago when we were beginning our relationship and am very excited to be gaining him as a brother-in-law. Nick also attended U of M for Engineering, so that should be enough qualifications to prove that he is pretty cool. However, he also played for the soccer team during his time there, which is not an accomplishment I can match. We bonded quickly over Michigan sports fandom and craft beer passions. I had an amazing time being a part of the beautiful celebration of his marriage to Emily last year and look forward to a lifetime of Michigan adventures with our two families.
Groomsman
I met Niko in 2019 when he began a relationship with Sarah, one of the Bridesmaids. He was a great addition to some outdoor Michigan adventures, especially as someone to talk sports with. Maybe one day the Lions will win one for him. One of my best memories with him was our lengthy escapades attempting to safely get a car on a trailer and hooked up to the back of a U-Haul for his move to Alabama. While living in Tuscaloosa, he and Sarah hosted Allie and I for a blast of a weekend including a Michigan victory over Tennessee to make the Sweet Sixteen. Now back in Michigan, he will continue to excel in his music education career wherever life takes him next.
Groomsman
In sophomore year at Michigan, Ian was one of the blind roommates Jayson I were assigned on the other side of our shared dorm suite in North Quad. Ian quickly introduced me to his friends from Freshman year on game nights, and many of them became some of my closest friends. Ian also gets credit for introducing me to skiing and camping in Michigan State Parks. As a fellow Mechanical Engineering major, we spent many a night together Junior year melting our brains in an attempt to grasp the intricacies of Fluid Mechanics. Now newly into parenthood, Ian and his wife, Allison, live only 40 minutes away and we frequently get together to hang out while their dog, Maya, and Norman attempt to tire each other out.
Groomsman
The next member of the Boys of Packard Squad, Jayson and I were randomly assigned roommates freshman year of college and wound up living together all four years of college. Another huge sports fan, we enjoyed frequent spirted debates while watching whatever late night sport happened to be on. However, its not just sports. A loyal friend, Jayson is always there to talk through things about the serious parts of life with anyone who needs it. Jayson is currently pursuing adding a PhD from Stanford to his impressive resume that also includes a Master's from Harvard and a position on Harvard's Board of Overseers.
Groomsman
The final member of the esteemed Boys of Packard crew, I first met Evan in Sophomore year at Michigan, but it was Senior Year when we became good friends. He moved in just down Packard Street from our apartment and we quickly bonded over an obsession with Michigan sports and Fantasy Football. I was lucky to have the privilege of being a groomsman in his wedding to Laine a few years ago and look forward to him being part of our special day. Evan lives in Arlington, Virginia and makes me jealous with how much golf he gets to play when he isn't making a difference on Capitol Hill.
