How We Met

Meeting the Other Dan

The Dan's met while working under the same supervisor at the Clerk's Office for the Maricopa County Superior Court in 2014 when one Dan was being shown around the Court on their first day. For that Dan, it was love at first sight. Upon the Dan's initial meeting, one Dan proceeded to tell all of their co-workers how the other Dan would one day be their future spouse. The co-workers all chuckled and asked that Dan how they intended to make it happen. The Dan replied, "by doing absolutely nothing." After a year and a half of the Dan's seeing each other around the court, one Dan finally mustered the courage to initiate a conversation with the other Dan. The other Dan, seeing the attempts at starting an out of work friendship, decided to suggest a casual hangout with a group of friends. The first hang out went amazingly that one Dan finally had the courage to ask the other Dan out on a proper date. Little did the Dan's know that, that date would be the first date that would lead to their forever. Long nights of twenty questions at the start of their courting made it clear that their ideals, self-goals and future plans aligned perfectly with the other Dan’s. Since then, the Dan’s have combined their lives, their families and their hearts together to create a love story all their own.

Dan #1 Introduction

About Me

Danielle is a baby beauty born to her parents Sonja and Doug in Fountain Valley, California in the sweet summer of 1988. The early Cali years were spent playing tag, making parachutes out of grocery bags, licking Kool-Aid packets, popsicle stick crafts, paper mâché, knitting and cards with the cousins and Grandma Jean. At the age of 7 Danielle had the greatest opportunity to move to the city that never sleeps, Vegas, and live with her best friends, Grandma and Pa. Vegas was filled with baking, croquet, roses, computer games, leap frog, applesauce, arcades, water park fun and running around in the desert. Vegas is where Danielle met her longest known friend of 24 years and counting, Summer. After some time Danielle found herself in the Valley of the Sun, Phoenix, Arizona starting mid fifth grade of 1998. Living that Glendale life, Danielle’s interests were volleyball, friends, swimming, boys, working at the bowling alley, leisure drives around town and across state lines back to the Cali sun. The summer of 2009 brought Danielle her greatest little miracle, her first daughter Kaylie. Since then, the two have been thick as thieves. Trips to Cali amusement parks, Flagstaff for sledding, snowman building and hiking, the Grand Canyon, swimming, Zoo Lights, Wisconsin cheese, Minneapolis Mall of America and Ohio Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. The year 2015 would change Danielle’s path through life as she thought she knew it. Unexpectedly, the other Dan entered Danielle’s life and together they would rewrite their future. What started out as an attempt at being friends quickly changed to a full blown, head over heels love. While planning the future, August of 2019 brought Danielle her second miracle, daughter Hendrix. Life with this new baby has just started, but the love Hendrix has brought into this family is like no other. Kaylie has a new forever best friend to get to share all her life experiences with. The best is still to come!

Dan #2 Introduction

About Me

A phoenix native, Daniel attended St. Gregory Catholic School where he would meet some of his life long friends. Daniel then attended Brophy College Preparatory and graduated in 2008. He would go on to finish his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Arizona State University in 2013. In 2014, Daniel began working at the Maricopa County Superior Court Clerk's office where he would process grand jury indictments. After a year and a half, Daniel would transition to the courtroom as a criminal courtroom clerk. Soon after the transition, Daniel was offered a position as a legal secretary in the Maricopa County Public Defender's Office. After a year of service to the indigent, Daniel transitioned to the Federal Public Defender's office working alongside paralegals, investigators and attorneys representing clients on death row in their final appeals before they seek clemency from the state in which they are condemned. From volunteering at St. Luke's Hospital in the Alzheimer Unit, to community building relationships in Oaxaca, Mexico, to being a voice for the indigent, Daniel has always striven to be a "Man for Others", a motto taught at Daniel's high school.
