We first briefly met at a group workout organized by a few members of our church. About a month later, one of Leah’s best friends (and master matchmaker), Jamie, invited Gordon to a 4th of July cookout and concert. When it came time to present tickets at the concert, a flustered Gordon realized he had forgotten his phone which contained his ticket. Leah saved the day with the bright idea of logging into his Google email account from her phone to retrieve the needed ticket. By the end of the evening, we both realized there was something special between us. It was confirmed in the following days as Gordon discovered Leah’s search history (containing topics from our conversations) on his own Google account (much to Leah’s embarrassment). At that time, Gordon was just beginning a new career. Between his training and his time on the east coast, we made many memories including salsa dancing, a self-driven boat tour on the Potomac at sunset, COVID quarantining together, and showing Leah all of the Disney classics she didn’t see growing up! Once Gordon’s job moved him to the west coast, Leah invested in a travel credit card (highly recommend) and even more exciting times were to be had. We’ve been able to fly back and forth from Virginia to Hawaii and Florida to California over the last year. With Universal Studios, Galaxy's Edge, countless beaches, Hawaiian volcanoes and coffee farms under our belt, the adventures have only just begun! We can't wait to finally be together in the same place for this next chapter of our lives and to start our best adventure yet!
