Thank goodness for the snow storm of January 2016 that led us to some weekend cruising and for Ryan increasing the acceptable radius on his Tinder search. Otherwise, our paths may have never crossed.

Layne proposed to Ryan in their hotel suite while on a surprise 4th anniversary weekend getaway to St. Michaels, Maryland. All the plans fell perfectly in place - the rose petals, chocolate covered strawberries, champagne by the fireplace. As could be expected, Layne cried during the proposal but he still got the majority of his speech out and Ryan said “yes”!
