Villa Cini Directions via google maps

Villa Cini, 52021 Bucine AR, Italy **Please note that you should download the Waze Map App for travel to and from Villa Cini. Google maps does not direct you to the exact location, if you only have google maps, please read below. Apple maps is unreliable for exact location travel in Italy. Directions by Car: From the north: Autostrada A1 exits Valdarno-Montevarchi and, after planning, turns right, going in the direction of Siena. Between Montevarchi and Levane, there is a big roundabout. Exit to direction Siena - Bucine. At that point, you don't need to enter any villages. First, you must pass Bucine and Capannole (a small town). After Capannole, turn left to Badia Agnano; after 1 km, you will find the signs to Villa Cini on your left, take the cypress lane, and you have arrived. From the south: Autostrada A1 exit Monte San Savino, then take the super Strada and exit at Alberoro; follow the signs to Civitella in Val di Chiana; after Civitella, go to Badia Agnano; after Badia Agnano, go 1 km on your right, before Capannole, you will find the signs to Villa Cini. Directions by train: The nearest train station is in Bucine, but it is small, and with a few stops, it is better to go to Arezzo or to Montevarchi, where you can take a taxi or rent a car.

Flight

Florence - Amerigo Vespucci Airport

Flying to Florence is the closest option to Villa Cini, around one hour by car or train (however you should train to Arrezo if renting a car). Rome's Airport Leonardo De Vinci is approx. 2.5 hours from Villa Cini by car and 3 hours by train (to Montevarchi). Bologna's Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport is about a 1:45 hour drive away, 2.5 hours by train to Montevarchi. Pisa's Pisa International Aiport is also a 1:45 hour drive, 2.5 hours to Montevarchi by train. You can train to Arezzo, which are larger cities than Bucine or Montevarchi and has car rental options from there. Other airport options: Fly into London (note, there are three London airports) from the states and then take a commuter flight to Florence, Bologna, or Pisa via Vueling, British Airlines, or Ryan Air.

Trenitalia Train service

Trenitalia is Italy's direct train system; you can get tickets at any train station, with usually no problem for short commutes to get right where you are. Longer trips require reservations, but you can purchase at the station to get to the Villa and towns close by. The nearest town is Bucine. However, you will have more time options for training in Montevarchi or Arezzo.

There are many Airbnb/VRBO options in the area. Closest towns are Capannole, Bucine, Montevarchi and Arrezo. Utilize the map on Villa Cini's website to help you know that you are in the right place when booking your accommodations.

This site will give you a good amount of choices of rental cars to choose from and is often less than going directly to rental car agencies but price compare. It is wise to get the insurance in Europe. Small is better! If you have not experienced Europe driving/parking, small cars are king and practice up on your parallel parking! Manual (stick shift) rentals are usually less and are more common so watch that if you need an automatic.

We stayed in one of the villas that is part of Castello di Montozzi when we did our venue recon. They have two villas and a number of apartments of various sizes. All rentable through Airbnb. They are beautiful, build around the 11th century, on a wine and olive farm. This would be a great choice for those staying four plus nights. They do not do shorter stays.
