LeGrand came to Richmond in the fall of 2017 for law school at the University of Richmond, and Lauren came in the summer of 2019 for her masters in education at VCU. They first met in the fall of 2019 at a young adult dinner hosted by their church. However, it was not until winter of 2020 that they became aware of their shared passions for the Church, Richmond, and the intersection of faith and work. They started dating in January of 2021, and after many long conversations over dinner or tea, they began talking about marriage! Several marriage books, many more fruitful conversations, and lots of fun dates later, they grew to love each other deeply. Leading up to and throughout the engagement, Lauren and LeGrand have learned to appreciate each other's differences and shared passions, and have also grown in love for God, their friends, and each other. They hope that you feel welcomed at their wedding and are looking forward to celebrating their marriage for the rest of their lives with you!
