If you have never been to Denver (The Mile High City 5,280'), or any location that is high elevation, altitude sickness is real! Make sure to drink LOTS of water and listen to your body and rest if you are feeling lightheaded/dizzy/nauseous/fatigued/out of it. If you plan on doing more strenuous hikes, plan towards end of trip, after your body has time to adjust to the altitude! Georgetown is 8,520' Alcohol hits you a lot faster due to this! So if you are not used to high altitude environments TAKE IT SLOW- pace car, not a race car on the alcohol front, and again drink LOTS of water In the mountains, the weather can change very quickly! Be sure to pack/wear LAYERS that you can add or remove easily so you can be nice and comfortable. All terrain shoes and a light backpack with water bottle and snacks are recommended if you are going to explore the beautiful surrounding nature areas! Sunscreen and Sunglasses! The gorgeous sunny, blue skies in Colorado come at a cost. Sunglasses highly recommended. Sunscreen is your best friend in the mountains because you are that much closer to the sun- you will burn easier in higher altitude!
No! You are more than welcome to come and go as you please (no pressure to attend all three events), the hotel is just most conveniently situated next to the brewery. Airbnb, VRBO, or the good ol' Google search will help you find alternative housing/hotels if that's what you prefer! Also, totally fine to commute from home for our friends and family that live in Colorado!
