We met in the late summer of 2017 in Philadelphia, soon after Ken started his residency. Ken just couldn't resist a Colorado native who happened to also enjoy board games! After a first date at El Rey filled with good tacos, beers, and conversation, Ken was hooked!

Almost freezing and raining...Lauren finished brunch with a close friend who just happened to want to go for an electric scooter joy ride around town....Lauren should have been suspicious then, but she didn't have a clue! Enter...Fitler Square Park...strangers start emerging from different locations and getting down on one knee- mind you Lauren is stunned- frozen on the electric scooter, helmet, gloves, down jacket, and giant purse all in tow. After three proposals (and rejections from Lauren) from strangers with post-its attached, "Sully", "Baloo", and "Shreya" (our two cats and Lauren's childhood friend), suddenly a Roman Gladiator appeared! He looked like Ken...sounded like Ken...must be Ken. An impressive sword fight sealed the deal that Ken was (and will always be) the best suitor for Lauren. He got down on one knee, Lauren cried profusely YES!!!!
