The couple wrote their own vows - making the ceremony entirely their own and unique to them.
The couple made promises to one another, pouring a layer of sand with each statement.
The sand ceremony represented that their lives will forever be inextricably entwined, like the grains of sand in the glass.
If joy was a picture, this would be it!
Absolutely bursting with love!
Lauren asked Josh to accept a ring, as a symbol of their love and commitment to him. He said, "Yes! I do!"
Josh asked Lauren if they would accept a ring, as a symbol of his devotion and love to them. Lauren said, "Yes! Absolutely! Yes, I do!"
Concluding the vows, Josh happily recalled his clever proposal speech and said, "Lauren Seif, take this ring and become my wife!"

Even the shot glass used for toothpicks was significant to the couple - it was a souvenir from The Cave of The Mounds that they toured during Lauren's first Wisconsin visit.
