Things To Do

These are some of our favorite places.
Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park,

Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park,

99 Harry M. Hallman Jr Blvd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464

Located at the foot of the Ravenel Bridge, this is a great place to enjoy a picnic lunch. Walk the 1,200 ft pier where you will find big swings to enjoy while looking out at the Charleston harbor.

Shem Creek

Shem Creek

See the website for location. Lots of great restaurants by the water. Enjoy Shem Creek Park which has a nice boardwalk

International African American Museum or IAAM

International African American Museum or IAAM

14 Wharfside Street, Charleston, SC 29401

This fabulous museum opened June 27, 2023 after years of planning. Tickets go fast so if you do plan to go, get them ahead of time. Or be sure to go next time you visit Charleston.

Sullivan's Island

Sullivan's Island

This island is not far from the wedding venue. In fact, if you miss the left turn into Destination Goldbug, you will soon cross the Ben Sawyer Bridge end up on Sullivan's Island. Not to worry because it's easy to turn around once you get on the island. There are lots of wonderful restaurants (Poe's, High Thyme, The Obstinate Daughter), or grab a cold beer at Dunleavy's Pub. Take a walk along the beach. You can also visit Fort Moultrie which is located on the island.

Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum

Located near the Ravenel Bridge. There is so much to see and learn about WW II , The Cold War and Vietnam.

Pitt Street Bridge in Mt. Pleasant, SC

Pitt Street Bridge in Mt. Pleasant, SC

We love to ride our bikes down here, but there is parking if you drive. Beautiful view of the intercoastal and the harbor. Visit the site for directions. Also, not far from Pitt Street Bridge is Alhambra Hall which has a beautiful view of the harbor. It is located at 131 Middle St. Mt. Pleasant, SC 29466

Downtown Charleston

Downtown Charleston

Charleston, SC

There is a lot to do in Charleston so you should plan to visit again if you have not been here before. Walk along The Battery and Rainbow Row. Visit The City Market on Market Street. Take a walking ghost tour. There are beautiful views of the harbor at Joe Riley Waterfront Park. Best of all are the many wonderful restaurants; too many to name.

For all the days along the way
