Train

JFK Airtrain

https://stuffedsuitcase.com/jfk-manhattan-penn-station-airport-train/ When you are looking at the MTA schedules, you would be best served to look for the trains going in and out of either HUNTINGTON or HICKSVILLE (Hicksville has more trains going in and out. If you take a plane to JFK, you can take what's called the Airtrain to a station called "Jamaica" (and no, this is NOT the Jamaica of your beach dreams, this is much, much dingier) and then transfer to a train line that takes you to Huntington or Hicksville and you can go to your hotel from there. Ask Laura if this highly confuses you, which it is meant to, because nothing in NY makes sense.
