Shanell is one of the most caring, thoughtful and kind-hearted person I've ever met. She has never let me down and has always been there to give a listening ear. We have cried, laugh, and been in many dangerous but fun situations lol. She is not only my best friend, she is my sister and sorority sister... Oo-oop! I have known Shanell since high school; however, our close bond didn't blossom until 2013. I was honored to be a Maid of Honor in her wedding :)

To my older brother. You have always been my protector and my part-time provider. You’ve been there for me in ways others couldn’t imagine. I could never forget when I was younger, you would never let anybody touch me or bother me. Even up to this day, I know you’re still overprotective when it comes to me. We can call each other to talk and vent about anything and it always stayed between us. You have been the best big brother in the world and I wouldn’t trade you for anything. There is absolutely no way that this day would be completely right without you standing next me as my Best Man.

I am so honored that my best friend/sister was able to keep her childhood promise of being in my wedding! Kenyatta and I have known one another since 7th grade. Kenyatta is not only reliable, caring, and funny; she is also the person I can call to vent, cry and laugh. We've always pushed one another for the better and although we may go days without talking we always pick up right where we left off. Kenyatta is awesome and has been an amazing sister throughout all these years. I've also kept my childhood promise of being in her wedding :)

Ashley is my SISTER. We have been apart of each others life since BIRTH! We always lift each others spirit, share our aspirations and goals, and motivated each other. As sisters, we have cried, fought, and laughed until we couldn't laugh anymore. We have been there to handle many situation when it came to the "Golden Girl Dilemmas" lol. We have seen our transformation from childhood to adulthood with many more years to add to our lifetime stories we share. Ashley is a caring and determined individual. Who else do you call at 2AM just because? LOL

My caucasian brother from another! I’ve said this a million times before. And I’ll say it a millionth and one time. You are a big part of the reason I am who I am and where I am today. You came in my life when I was 14 years old. This was around the time I was failing in school and didn’t really care much about it. Who would have known the day you knocked on the door to ask if I wanted to play catch would change my life forever. From that day, you kept me close to you. You motivated me to be better then the direction I was heading in. Our bond was so strong. When you left to school, you left me with the mindset of “getting it done." You were brother and blood couldn’t have made us any closer. It wouldn’t be right if I didn’t have you standing behind me on the most important day of my life.

Tandraaaaaa..... I have known Tandra since six grade. We have done so much together and seen one another grow from childhood to adults. Tandra is not only my friend, sister, sorority sister (Oo-oop!), but she was also my ROOMIE! No matter how late or how early, Tandra was always there. I have learned so much living with her. We have been taste testers of new dishes we cooked, explored DC, pushed one another for greater, and we have taken a lot of risk! Tandra is one of the most caring, committed, thoughtful and understanding person I know. We may not talk everyday, but when we do, we catch up on everything! I always get a GREAT laugh with her!

My brother, I met you off the strength of my sister. Over the years, we chopped it up and you become more then just a brother-n-law to me. We don’t communicate every day, but when we do talk, we can go for hours. And every time we link up, it’s a celebration. You one of the realest guys I know. I had the opportunity of standing behind you on your special day. It wouldn’t be right if I didn’t have you standing behind me on one of the most important days of my life.

I met Tiara at Elizabeth City State University in 2005. We were on danceline, roommates and we were literally college partners in crime; we have so many memories to share! Tiara has always been a great listener, provided great advice and been there to support. We always have fun and laugh the entire day away. Although we may not talk everyday, when we do, we catch up like it's like old times. Tiara is one of the most caring, free-spirit, friendly and strong-hearted person I know. I was honored to be a bridesmaid in her wedding :)

It’s funny how things work out the way they do. I met you off the strength of my fiancé by you going to school with her and being married to one of her best friends. I had no idea that we would be as tight as we are and vibe like we did when we first met. Our friendship was never forced. It was natural. The way we talk everyday, you’d think we grew up together. Through your actions, you’ve expressed loyalty and dependability, which are the same qualities I saw in my other brothers. You’ve shown nothing but love and support in my fiancé and my relationship. It wouldn’t be right to not have you standing behind me on one of the most important days of my life

Ashlie and I started our friendship at Elizabeth City State University in 2005 as college roommates. We were trouble makers... the good trouble makers of course lol. We have many memories from all of the random college suite parties, long talks, laughter, and being apart of the important days of one another life. Although we are miles apart, our friendship continues to grow. We have always been there to support each other. Ashlie is supportive, reliable and full of energy. Everyone needs a friend like Ashlie! I was honored to be a bridesmaid in her wedding :)

You started out as just a co-worker. As we worked alongside each other, we talked and saw how much alike we were. Our attitudes and mindset was so much alike, we could look at one another and could tell what we were thinking. During those night operations our first priority was to make sure one another was okay. Over this course, not only did I gain a friend, I gained a brother. When you meet someone who value your life as much as they value you their own, you keep them close. I'm honored that you've accepted this role of standing behind me on one of the most important days of my life.

You're one of the oldest friends I have. Growing up, we've done everything together and always been there for one another. As we've gotten older, our communication decreased, but that's what happen when you become grown-ups. But when we do link up, it's like we never missed a beat. One thing I could never imagine, is not having you stand behind me in one of the most important days of my life.
