Jamie Sutton was amazed of the beauty and smile of LaToya Golden. Jamie's curiosity led him to contact a mutual friend to learn more about LaToya. In July 2016, LaToya and Jamie began to build a strong friendship foundation. In October 2016, the two fell in love and made a commitment to one another. They started off in a long distance relationship and with all the long talks and 14 hour road trips led Jamie to propose to LaToya. LaToya moved from Northern Virginia to Southwest Georgia to be with Jamie.

Jamie had so many proposal plans, but Jamie could not wait to ask LaToya to be his wife! On March 28, 2017, LaToya and Jamie were playing one of their famous communication games. During one of their games; sharing why they loved one another, Jamie shouted " I can't keep beating around the bush." LaToya still into the game asked Jamie "What are you talking about?" Jamie then pulls out a ring while on one knee and asked LaToya to marry him. LaToya paused, looked at the ring, smiled and said "Yes, I will marry you!"
