Join Us For A Rapturous Affair

In truth, the pair already knew each other from working together at Gravitational Marketing. Sarah joined Tyler’s team in August 2017—but only one week into her tenure, the two were put in separate teams on opposite sides of the office. It wasn’t until three years later, in February 2020, during a chance conversation, did they realize their shared love for anime. That random conversation lasted until 2 am, and ended in a plan to get together the following weekend for the first of what would soon be known as “Anime Fridays.”

After a successful first "just friends" hangout, Sarah and Tyler decided to keep the momentum going. Soon they were spending every Friday night eating dinner together and watching anime on Sarah's couch. That was until mid-March 2020 when the city of Orlando issued a 10 pm curfew for all non-essential workers. With many people encouraged to limit social contact, the pair agreed to become quarantine buddies. As time went on, many weekly "Anime Fridays" passed and both could no longer deny the feelings that were bubbling between them. Finally, on Friday, April 17th, Sarah asked Tyler if he liked her. And I think we all know his answer—because that night, they officially started dating.

"Anime Fridays" continued, but as the months rolled on, Sarah and Tyler slowly added more at-home activities to their lineup like, "Saturday Brunches," "Video Game Evenings" and "Sunday Baking Challenges." Finally, on Saturday, September 19th, 2020, Sarah and Tyler enjoyed their first official out-of-the-house date. They strolled around Leu Gardens; smelling the flowers and absentmindedly kicking rocks as they traversed the gravel path. Since then, they've spent countless hours exploring Orlando; attending concerts and musicals; visiting Disney; trying new restaurants; hanging out with friends; celebrating holidays; and even taking vacations. Then in September 2021, they moved in together—and with Sarah's cat Darcy and Tyler's cats Pangur and Kyubi, they've formed a happy family whose favorite pastime is still snuggling up on the sofa to watch anime.

On Monday, July 5th, 2022 Tyler took Sarah on a romantic walk around Leu Gardens, reminiscent of their first date. But this time, instead of kicking rocks, he was carrying one in his pocket. Then, on the same bench they sat on almost 2 years earlier, Tyler asked Sarah to marry him. And through happy tears and squeals of joy, she said yes. Sarah and Tyler are excited to share the next chapter of their love story with you.
